Associated Student Body

The Associate Student Body (ASB) is the main student-led organisation at the University of the Southern Caribbean. Its mission is to foster a vibrant campus community and elevate student experiences. Here are the key objectives:

Community Impact

Through purposeful programmes, we contribute positively to the wider community, uplifting and benefiting all.

Holistic Education

We integrate academic and social learning, emphasising holistic development for every student.

Conflict Resolution

Swiftly addressing conflicts and uncomfortable situations ensures a harmonious campus environment.

Collaboration with Administration

We actively collaborate with the university administration to enhance the institution’s prestige and overall quality.

Enhancing Student Satisfaction

By organising and executing engaging extracurricular activities, we aim to elevate student satisfaction and create a vibrant campus life.

Transparent Communication

We keep the general student body informed about decisions directly impacting student life.

Executive Leadership

ASB leadership comprises seventeen dedicated officers, with fifteen elected annually during the ASB General Elections. Additionally, the Men’s and Ladies’ Club Presidents serve as ex-officio members, representing their respective dormitory residents.

Programme Management

The ASB sustains its programmes, projects, and activities through semesterly membership dues paid by the student body. The organisation receives valuable guidance from appointed staff and faculty sponsors, working in tandem with the Division of Student Services & Enrollment Management.

At the University of the Southern Caribbean, student leadership thrives, and the ASB remains committed to empowering every student’s journey.
